Sundar Balasubramania

Sundar is a Vice President at Capgemini and is responsible for Insights as a Service and Platforms. He joined Capgemini in 2009 and has played various roles including as business development executive in the EMEA region for Business Data Lake, developing industry and technology solution offerings for the Insights & Data Practice.

He has over 23 years of experience in management and technology consulting and is focused in the area of information management. During his tenure with different services firms such as CSC, Manthan, Systech and TECS, he has held positions ranging from Business Unit Head, Practice Leader, Technology Director to Program and Project Management and Business Development/ Pre-Sales Manager.

He spent six years working in the US during which time, he implemented BI and IM programs for organizations across different business domains such as Financial Services, Retail & Distribution and Healthcare.  Some of the clients he worked for and interacted with include Unilever, Deutsche Telekom, Visa, PayPal, Merrill Lynch, Nike, IHOP, Ingram Micro, Warnaco (Ck, Chaps) and Pfizer, to name a few.

Sundar is passionate about information management in the context of Internet of Things and has researched Data Exchange Consortiums for enterprises. He has been instrumental in defining the vision and road map for various enterprise IM programs at different places. He has traveled extensively around the world to meet clients and help develop roadmaps and implementation plans for business data lakes.
