Scott McKenzie leads SensaData, an Australian deep-tech start-up partnered with La Trobe University to develop a next-generation data logger system addressing logistics value chains for condition-sensitive goods and other applications. The core of the technology is a bespoke ASIC microchip (SoC) that provides the low cost, low power and high performance critical to meet user operational needs. The chip features multiple sensing inputs, reprogrammable edge-processing (analytics), in wireless communications for interfaces with cloud-based analytics for reporting and services delivery. Commercialisation as a Solution as-a-Service (SaaS) into high value global markets is in progress.
Scott has a background in industry and consulting in open innovation, design and commercialisation, engineering and project management. He has previously lead technology development initiatives in diverse fields to deliver the scaling and risk reduction for the transfer of technologies from laboratory to industry, coordinating research providers and industry groups including multinational OEs.
