The Russian Research Center on the Internet of Things is the official partner for the Internet of Thing Council. We are very honored and excited to team up with the Russian Research Center on the Internet of Things. Although the philosophical thinking on hybrid spaces has a long and deep history in Russia, one of the direct links was the Council /Lift@Home seminar, that was organized by Vadim Chekletsov, the contact point and Chairman of the new Centre.
We are very much looking forward to their ideas on not smart, but wise cities. Smart is so instrumental and 'easy'. Cities are not easy, neither are people, and the granularities in every day behavior of people living together are not easily 'solved' in a seamless way.
Thus "Wise Moscow needs building it with a Russian soul, with poetry and making citizens part of it, connecting high business with the cultural elite and bringing back old manual skills, stop the ‘efficiency’ paradigm and bring back people into the technological loop: smart shopping+ cassier." (George Prokopchuk)
An implementation of Internet of Things (IoT) can not be run apart for a development of social responsibility. The Centre sees IoT as a pan-communication technology that can increase persons and group awareness, and change a real modus operandi with serious pervasive games. Furthermore, IoT can manage complexity by re (constructing) systems for functioning largely without human intervention. It also has a horizon of bio and nano that must be captured too in a more deep and human way.
