Pedro Fernandes, PhD. Pedro Fernandes is currently an Assistant Professor at UPT – Oporto Global University, and a Researcher, holding a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Coimbra, with the thesis “Platooning of IVC-Enabled Autonomous Vehicles: Information and Positioning Management Algorithms, for High Traffic Capacity and Urban Mobility Improvement”.
Dr. Fernandes is an expert evaluator of Horizon 2020 European Projects, and is involved in COST Actions’ evaluation as well as reviewing process of large scale European projects.
He is also an Auditor in Cybersecurity and Crisis Management in Cyberspace, and is participating in international projects involving Academia representatives of most European countries.
Dr. Fernandes has been involved in several research projects, and published several papers in international journals and conferences, and has a significant experience in projects supervision as well as in teaching activities.
He is member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) (Intelligent Transportation Systems, Communications, Computer, Education, Robotics and Automation, and Vehicular Technology Societies), and the IEEE Standards Association.
