Martin Smelt: IoT Tech Day 2016: A glimpse of the future at the biggest Internet of Things conference of Europe

On Thursday April14th all kinds of IT professionals and developers will gather at the IoT Tech Day 2016 in Utrecht (the Netherlands). On the IoT Tech Day 2016 there will be loads of workshops, sessions and keynotes about all aspects of the Internet of Things.

Everyone knows that the Internet of Things (IoT) is a hot topic. At the forefront of this revolution are the developers, engineers and IT professionals with a hunger for technological innovation. Especially for that group of early adaptors the IoT Tech Day will open its doors. With more than 1000 visitors (including 800 software developers), 52 workshops, a hackathon (powered by The Things Network), an IoT pub quiz, state-of-the-art technology and national and international top-level speakers,  the IoT Tech Day 2016 is the biggest Internet of Things event of Europe.
Java Champions Vinicius and Yara Senger (Brazil) will host a workshop plus a session about their IoT Surfboard. Participants of their workshop will be able to work with all kind of sensors, Arduino’s and ESP8266. Furthermore, Martin Förtsch and Thomas Endres (Germany), will blow everybody’s mind with their session about Augmented Reality “See like a Terminator – Augmented Reality with Oculus Rift” and Ray Tsang (Google) and Arjen Wassink will teach all attendants about Kubernetes in their presentation “Micro-datacenter with Raspberry Pi & Kubernetes”.
