Jose Luis Carmona Morales (1970) is a calm technologist on the made since he found Mark Weiser's seminal papers.
He started with remote control technology back in 1992 with projects on water management, greenhouses and fish-farms. An 8051 and a tear-down walkie talkie was enough at the time.
He has worked with corporations or started business in 18 different countries trough the years. Ranging from trading to SmartGrid project management.
He returned into the IoT field as the CTO at Cilab (back in 2009) and successfully built the first city wide smartlighting product based on a subghz cognitive radio stack.
Involved in building the IoT ecosystem through frequent collaborations with research institutions, public administrations and technology firms around the world. That includes lecturing, acting as an advisor or doing probono ideation seasons.
He collaborated in the setup of IoT Solutions World Congress and Living Bits and Things Congress.
His current research interest are focused on the smart approach to health, water and mobility problem solving and in general those small things that can make us a bit happier.
