Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) to provide advice to attendees on overcoming compliance concerns at Data Protection World Forum

LONDON, November 5, 2018 -  Data Protection World Forum is proud to announce that the UK’s data protection watchdog, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), is set to provide attendees a rare opportunity to receive in-person advice about their corporate data protection challenges, with its ‘Ask the ICO’ consultation at the event.

The ICO, which is integral to upholding GDPR and the UK’s Data Protection Act (2018), will have representatives present at Data Protection World Forum across both days to give guidance and advice to attendees on their corporate compliance journeys.

In addition to this, the ICO will be delivering the opening keynote on the second day of the conference, as Deputy Commissioner, Steve Woods, takes to the stage to host the session, ‘Democracy Disrupted? The Next Chapter’ – a follow on from the ICO’s investigation looking into the use of data analytics in political campaigns to target voters.
