Imagine the following phone conversation 5 years ago: "Goodmorning Sir, this is the Police; we suspect your refrigerator of sending large numbers of spam emails". 5 years ago you would probably have answered something like "Fuck-off", "get lost", "stop it" or simply hung up. Today, if you are one of those gadget suckers, who need the latest of the latest, and get a call like this, you might answer something very different like; "Oh I am sorry, I will check and reinstall the software" or "Yes I know, my car received one of the spam mails earlier today". About a year ago a refrigerator sending spam emails draw headlines around the world and it was not even a joke.
