Altaf is the founder of INFXL, a deep learning foundry for IoT edge devices. Although he started his career as an accelerometer system engineer in the Silicon Valley, simplifying neural nets has been his passion for the last 26 years. His patent-pending inventions include fast deep nets for real-time apps, low-cost, energy-efficient deep nets for IoT devices, and simplified deep nets for FPGA. He has worked on intelligent solutions for a major US airline and a well-known auto parts supplier. He has been the CTO of a brokerage company, CEO of two startups, consultant for software process improvement, and an industrial controls engineer.
