Alexandru Iovanovici is a PhD student at the "Politehnica" University of Timisoara working in the area of bio-inspired and reconfigurable computing. He graduated from the same university with a thesis on "Collaborative environment for real time acquisition of road traffic parameters" and holds master degrees in both Computer Engineering and Sciences of Education. He is currently investigating a bio-inspired approach for managing the Internet of Things. After all, we can easily say that "the human body is the largest Internet of "Things" and if something works for living things it should also work for IoT. Alex is also the founder of the Romanian Arduino users community (www.arduino.ro) - being a passionate Arduino developer - and he is organising the local Arduino users meeting, hoping to found the local hackerspace. Together with a small group of passionate people he built the first Romanian node streaming to Pachube: a weather station in Timisoara sending data about temperature, pressure and humidity. In his spare time he likes biking in the wilderness, taking HDR photos and studying Kenjutsu.
