Tim Bouckley: DEATH LAMP 2012

An experimental project resulting in an 'intelligent' lamp that can learn its user behaviour. It responds to over-use by suffering a heart attack, and to neglect by committing suicide.

The project centers on the ability of products to quantify and provide feedback on their use frequency, and the role this feedback plays on product psychology, imagining a time when our relationships with the products and devices we own resemble those we share with people.
