Council & Postscapes proposes to hold very small meetings anywhere in the world on April 9. These can vary to having a cup of coffee with someone and talk about the Internet of Things or hosting a dinner at your place, or going for a walk on the beach, as long as it is on April 9 and about IoT.
The 2014 Global Internet of Things Day
will again take place on April 9th. Originally initiated by IoT Council and Postscapes and going on its 4th year (2013,12,11) the day is designed as an open invitation to the global #IoT Community to join a Meetup, host a hackathon, or just share a beer or coffee with a friend or fellow collaborator focused around the Internet of Things and its implications. The time is now to start having the important conversations on the technologies, security, data privacy, and enormous potential that an "Internet of Things" is capable of. Last year, events were held in more than 18 Countries and demonstrated the explosive growth and interest in the topic from both the DIY and business worlds alike (A Storify of the day is available here recapping the collaborating and making in Zurich, Madrid, and Amsterdam all the way to a showcase of existing products in London and everything in-between). We expect this year to be even bigger and invite you to join in on the fun with your own event.
Feel free to add your event details to the IoT Calendar or let us know what you are up to on April 9th (from the big to small) using the form below and we will promote your event on this page and around the web.
