Eric van der Linden started his wired career at an internal education program interaction design at Philips C&P. Via two Belgium start up companies, Netvision and I-motion he returned to Philips to join the Philips Design Internet group to manage the Philips internet and intranet site.
When the group became a department Eric moved to project management and consultancy on intranet and knowledge management projects.
An important project was writing the proposal for the new tourism portal for the government of Singapore with Atos Origin Singapore.
This project was a first attempt to work in close cooperation with philips product designers and integrate Internet and ip aware products.
After leaving Philips design in 2004 Eric van der linden worked as a freelancer on many web design projects and developed a text mining service on the side.
This service is launched in projects with Catalysts ltd. London and Solcara (a Thompson Reuters company).
The next step for CapSence is connecting the service to image mining and machine to machine communication.
Eric was a board member of the PSIC (Public Safety Innovation Centre) steering committee.
Eric is a very practical and analytical thinker. His main focus is innovation through research to business.
