Tijmen Wisman is a privacy-lawyer. For the past few years he worked at ECP-EPN (formerly known as ECP.NL) and the RFID Platform the Netherlands. In May 2010 he started a PhD at VU University Amsterdam; Dept. Transnational Legal studies. He is engaged in research on the impact of the Internet of Things on people their right to respect for their private and family life, their home and their correspondence.
Felipe Fonseca is a brazilian media activist and researcher working on technological appropriation, low tech experimentation, free (livre) and open source multimedia software, open licensing, experimental laboratories and online collaboration. He was the founder and articulator of projects as MetaReciclagem, an emergent brazilian network related to the deconstruction of information technologies; DesCentro, a de-centralized research organisation; and Bricolabs, an international network of experimental labs. Felipe has acted also as a consultant for the brazilian Ministry of Culture for the Cultura Digital project that developed a critical ICT strategy for more than a thousand grassroots cultural centers throughout Brazilian territory. He worked with the Brasilian Ministry of Culture articulating a collaborative research on experimental labs called Redelabs.
A French citizen by birth and a world citizen by heart, Pierre Métivier is the co-founder of NET-7, a French IT executive and consultant network. As a specialist in product marketing and innovation, he helps companies to integrate new technologies such as contactless and the Internet of Things in their strategy and development.
Alok b. Nandi, born in Congo and raised in Zaïre, is now based in Brussels, where he has studied civil engineering, management and film (Licence en Philosophie et Lettres). As a designer, media artist, writer-director and strategic design consultant, he explores conflicting constraints in evolving and hybrid contexts, via his design label Architempo. He is dealing with storytelling in multiple media, space and technologies, from hi-tech interactive installations (Extrafiction framework, science museums) to lo-tech mise-en-scene (Cannes Film Festival, Jules Verne exhibition design, public space interventions). In parallel, he has launched Pecha Kucha Brussels and also initiated the Belgian presence of Ignite and IxDA (interaction design).
