The RFID Security and Privacy Lounge

The RFID Security and Privacy Lounge references technical works related to security and privacy in RFID systems published in journals, conference proceedings, technical reports, thesis, eprints, and books. It is maintained and updated roughtly monthly by the UCL's Information Security Group in Belgium headed by Gildas Avoine. A mailing list associated with the website alerts the registered members when an update is performed. The alert may also contain some useful information like calls for papers related to RFID security and privacy.

Rafi Haladjian

A semiologist by training he accidentally fell in networked devices and online services 25 years ago and never left this playground. From the French Minitel in the 80’s, to the very first Internet company in France (FranceNet) in the 90’s, to Ozone the community based Wi-Fi rooftop mesh network of Paris, rafi created a dozen companies. In 2003 he founded Violet, maker of the Nabaztag rabbit and the Mir:ror. Since September 2009, with sen.se he continues his exploration of connected objects and environments and how they can bring meaning and fun to consumers and organizations.

Slava Kozlov

Slava Kozlov is founding member of Summ()n, a newly opened creative consultancy that helps people to imagine and explore possible futures, and change themselves toward them. He helps business and organizations to innovate and transform, and the 'recipe' combines future studies, experience design and interactive art (and a bit of magic too ). An array of digital tools is used to support and enable the process, including social web, virtual worlds, multiplayer online games, and hybrid interactive and experiential environments. Slava is a psychologist, social scientist, mathematician, blogger, player, photographer, climber; a practitioner philosopher. Before establishing Summ()n, Slava spent ten years with Philips Design’s Strategic Futures Design team in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

Paolo Barattini

Dr. Paolo Barattini, MD PhD, after working as a Researcher in human Physiology and Circadian rhyhtms in Salt Lake City (Utah) and in Geneva CH) became (since 1993) a consultant in hardware and software biomedical devices. He founded a company (Ridgeback s.a.s.s) that has been working in many advanced products developments, between them the ESA projects MARES (the device currently is permanently housed on board the International Space Station), and HEWS, the EU FP7 project Theraedge, project LOCOBOT, project BURBA.
He has a kink for devising new services enabled by the creative use of technology, especially Information Technology, concocted with sound knowledge about Ergonomics of Human Machine and Human Robot interaction.
