Peter Horvath blogs for Make Magazine, a quarterly which celebrates hacking, tweaking and bending technology. He co-founded O'Reilly Media's Ignite Toronto and is a researcher at Akendi, a consultancy focusing on human experience design. He attended the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU, specializing in physical computing, rapid prototyping and informatics. Cristiano Storni

Cristiano Storni is graduated in HCI and holds a PhD in Information Systems and Organization at the Faculty of Sociology (Dept. of Social Research) in the University of Trento. After having collected experiences in consultancy and action-research, Cristiano is now Post-doc research fellow at the Interaction Design Centre at the department of Computer Science and Information Systems (University of Limerick). He is actually leading the sociological strand of FutureComm, an Irish national program for research in Third-Level institutions that aims to envision the future of ICT and services in various domains. His research is concerned with the social shaping of technology, the notion of appropriation and the future of ICT in the domain of Health Care, web 2.0, open software and hardware. He is actually focusing on the future of self-care practices and the changing role of designers in ICT.

Ben Schouten

Ben Schouten graduated from the Rietveld Art Academy in 1983 and worked as a professional artist. He found himself interested in patterns and iconography, and after travelling in the Magreb and studying number theory he rediscovered his fascination for mathematics. He received his master's degree in mathematics, specializing in chaos theory, in August 1995. In 1996 Ben Schouten founded Desk.nl, an Application Software Provider, providing innovative internet related solutions to a wide range of customers. Since 2008 he is lector Ambient Intelligence & Design and Serious Game Design at Fontys Hogescholen, Eindhoven. His group focuses on multimodal interaction and ambient game design in intelligent systems.

Retired naval Lieutenant Commander currently living in the U.S. Information Technology professional for the last 15 years. Earned a BA degree in mathematics from the University of NC at Asheville in 1975. Obtained a Masters of Science degree in IT with emphasis in Advanced Network Architecture and Systems Design from Capella University in Minneapolis, MN in 2008. Currently pursuing a PhD in IT education at Capella. Taught mathematics for the University of Maryland while living on the Island of Bermuda. Served as consultant to NAVSEASYSCOM on the LORA and ACIM mathematical models associated with weapons system development and support in 1984 - 1985. Currently serving as an expert networking consultant for the IoT Council.
