This event is hosted by China Council For The Promotion Of International Trade,

Topics at 'Global Internet of Things Technology Conference (GIOTC)' will range from the status and trend of global internet of things, talent exchanges, technology application, industry standard, smart cities, to investing opportunities. As the unique international exhibition in internet of things, '2010 China Internet of Things Technology Application Exhibition' over the same period will provide a platform of meeting, presentation, communication and cooperation for the manufactures, suppliers, distributors, application services in the whole internet of things chain.

Adam Greenfield

Adam Greenfield is head of design direction for service and user-interface design at Nokia. He has written and consulted widely on issues at the intersection of design, technology and culture. Since 2006 he co-teaches co-teaching a class called Urban Computing at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications program with Kevin Slavin of area/code. His first book, Everyware: The dawning age of ubiquitous computing, can be purchased from Amazon. He lives and works in Helsinki with his wife, Nurri Kim.

Agustín Peláez

Agustín Peláez is the cofounder of Ubidots. He is also writing his Master's thesis at Grenoble Graduate School of Business. His research topic is the adoption and applications of Wireless Sensors Networks (WSN's) in the developing world, under the tutoring of Prof. Edward M. Roche, Ph.D. from Columbia University - New York.

Prior to founding Ubidots, Agustin had taken part in the development of a health monitoring software for EADS Astrium (developed for ESA and DLR), where he discovered his passion for remote sensing applications. He had also developed a linux-based call simulator for ND SatCom while studying at Münster University of Applied Sciences.

An IoT evangelizer and active contributor to the startup scene in Latin America, he has submitted articles about regional innovation, urban informatics and entrepreneurship to a number of newspapers and blogs.

Iñaki Vazquez

Dr. Juan Ignacio (a.k.a. Iñaki) Vazquez is CEO at Symplio, a recently incorporated start-up devoted to "connect atoms to the Internet". Symplio prototypes products that bring the Internet, specially social activities, into real-world experiences. He was formerly head of R&D on Intelligent Environments at DeustoTech, a research institute associated to the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain. He received his PhD (Doctor Europeus mention) with a dissertation titled “A Reactive Behavioural Model for Context-Aware Semantic Devices”, having spent three months in the Embedded Interactive Systems research group in Lancaster University, UK. His main research focus was smart objects connected to the Internet (Internet of Things), especially when involving interactions with Web 2.0 sites ("using real world objects as a means for people to socialize with other people through the Internet"), and their integration with smart environments, TUI (Tangible User Interfaces) and wireless sensor networks. His current efforts are also oriented to help companies to create new product concepts based on this approach.

Currently he is also starting up a company called Symplio to create Internet-based products for personal lifestyle, well-being and entertainment.
