Lorna Goulden is the director of Creative Innovation Works, a networked innovation consultancy specialised in the development of user-focused products, services and interactive experiences. She leads business workshops to support organisations in developing an understanding of the emerging trends, opportunities and implications of the Internet of Things, providing tools and guidance on how to approach this field of innovation and develop dynamic business models.
A former Creative Director and Innovation Manager at Philips, Lorna has spent over 20 years promoting a user experience approach to business innovation. Since joining Philips in Eindhoven in 1996 she worked closely with Philips research and business groups in Europe, Asia and the US supporting cutting-edge research and new product development. She has 7 years experience working as an Innovation Consultant for clients such as Cisco, Philips, NXP, Ziggo, DAF-trucks and Reckitt Benckiser and has also worked on innovative urban developments in the cities of Eindhoven and Barcelona. Lorna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Design and Technology from Sheffield University (1992), and completed a Master’s degree in Interaction Design at the Royal College of Art in London (1994). She also completed the global OneMBA programme at Rotterdam Erasmus University in 2013 to further her goal of facilitating a greater connection between Business, Design, and Technology.
