CALL FOR WORKSHOPS FOR ISEA2011 ISTANBUL, September 14-21, 2011
ISEA2011 Istanbul is the 17th International Symposium on Electronic Art, a world leading conference and exhibition event for art, media and technology, scheduled for September 14 to 21, 2011 in Istanbul, Turkey. The ISEA2011 Istanbul exhibition will coincide with the Istanbul Biennial and will provide the best setting to showcase contemporary new media arts. They invite proposals for workshops form artists, scientist and academics interested in how the digital and electronic media are re-shaping contemporary society and behaviors. ISEA2011 Istanbul will have areas of interests and it will be open, under the general theme of interdisciplinarity at the intersection of Art, Science and Technology, to a wide range of proposals.
It is their intention to appeal to the hard sciences and the humanities.
For this reason ISEA2011 Istanbul is open to a large variety of thematic strands: that range from digital art to curatorial studies, electronic media and digital architecture, the intersection of art, science and technology and the concept of the city, digital humanities, social media, nanotechnology and art, urban ecologies, transculturalism and more.
Although with a special focus on digital and electronic arts, ISEA2011 Istanbul is open to both theoretical and practice based analyses at the intersection of art, science and technology.
