Boris Adryan

Boris Adryan is founder of thingslearn, a data analytics consultancy for the IoT. Looking back at almost ten years as Royal Society research group leader at the University of Cambridge (England) and a track record of 45+ publications in the biosciences and computational biology, Boris recognised the need to educate small and medium-sized IoT companies in all areas of data storage, data integration, machine learning and predictive modelling.

As Fellow of the Software Sustainability Institute , Boris is passionate about open science (open access, open data and open source). His outreach activities aim to bring the experience of over a decade in academic cross-domain data integration to the IoT: Hear him talk about ontologies in the IoT in this O’Reilly webcast.

He is a relentless learner and teacher, follow @BorisAdryan on Twitter for occasional technical blog posts and tutorials, often about his favourite prototyping tool Node-RED.

Boris is a certified jack-of-all-trades and enjoys hardware tinkering, circuit design and embedded programming (as freelancer) just as much as the analytical side of IoT.
