Bas Boorsma currently serves as a director at Cisco’s strategic global consultancy arm, runs various Internet of Everything endeavors within Cisco and serves as one of the company’s leading Future of Work strategists. Bas has coordinated and overseen the implementation of innovative projects and programs that address the ways we work, live, consume, play, learn and deliver within the context of larger communities – and how this can help communities to become more resilient – environmentally, socially and economically. Typical innovations delivered include Smart Work Centers, Community Services Platform, Ecomap, Personal Travel Assistant, Smart Public Light and Learning Hubs. Bas has helped various cities, regions and communities around the world to articulate and implement Smart Work strategies, resulting in Smart Work strategies in Korea, France and Amsterdam among others. Bas also serves as chairman of the Connected Village Foundation.
