Andrés García Higuera
Andrés García Higuera is Electric and Electronics Engineer for the Polytechnical University of Madrid, 1991. Mechanical Engineering for the University of Córdoba, 1987. PhD Industrial Automation at the Polytechnical University of Madrid, 1999. After holding several posts at Spanish Universities and at the Industry, he joined the IfM, University of Cambridge as Senior Research Associate for the Auto-ID Centre. In 2003 qualified as Professor at Castilla La Mancha Univ. (Spain) where he now supervises several nationally funded research projects with strong industrial participation and is director of the AutoLog research group, vice-Dean of the Technical Institute of Cuenca and President of the Spanish Society for RFID and Tracking (Setra). Andrés collaborates as reviewer for different publications and conferences as well as for nationally and internationally funded research programs. He has been appointed as External Reviewer/Independent Expert for different projects funded by the European Commission.
